SIMÕES, Ana, Course “Ciência e Cidade”, MSc Program in History and Philosophy of Science, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, 2017-8, 2018-9, 2019-20.

This is the first and only course in the MSc Program in History and Philosophy of Science introducing students to urban history of science. The program centered on STM in Lisbon and tested the on-going research and outputs of the VISLIS project. Besides historiographical lectures, the course discussed several case studies under research by members of the project VISLIS which correspond roughly to chapters to be included in the final edited volume to be published by Brill. Besides Ana Simões (course coordinator), the course included lectures by Ana Duarte Rodrigues, Carlos Godinho, Celia Miralles Buil, Cláudia Castelo, Inês Gomes, Jaume Sastre-Juan, Jaume Valentines-Alvarez, João Machado, Maria Paula Diogo and José Avelãs Nunes.
